D. Othniel Forte
I'm ordinary − At least that's what They say. I'm too fat, I’m not pretty I hear them whisper. They also say I'm a freak One so uncool, And that, I'm a geek Because I love school. Other times they say, That I'm a fool!
Because I am shy And don't speak out often, Why should it matter (x2) If I don't act sleek? Like some Cheerleader? Why should they think me weak? Why should they Judge me rashly Just by my looks? Why should they Treat me harshly If I love books? I do not understand it.
At times, it baffles me
I must admit,
But I take solace in being me
I take comfort in this
I know something they don’t
Oh I wish they knew
If they only knew….
That I am not ordinary.
